Svenja Jungo, born in 2004, grew up in Heitenried and discovered her passion for wrestling at an early age. What began as a playful hobby quickly developed into a clear athletic focus. Since the age of twelve, she has pursued her wrestling career with unwavering dedication and impressive discipline.
Svenja has been part of the national squad since 2019 and has since celebrated numerous successes at European and World Championships . To further her athletic development, she took a bold step early on: at the age of 15, she moved to Freiburg im Breisgau to train at the Olympic training center under international conditions.
Alongside her competitive sports career, Svenja completed her high school diploma, finished the elite sports recruit school in Magglingen , and is currently studying while maintaining an intensive training schedule of up to ten sessions per week . Her goal is clear: to establish herself sustainably in international wrestling – with patience, hard work, and a clear focus.
Her sporting achievements speak for themselves: multiple Swiss championship titles, podium finishes at European and World Championships, and top international rankings in the junior and elite categories underline her great potential.
